Experience required: Beginner
Tutor: Margaret Harvey
Course length: 3 hours
Cost: £40.00
Needle felting was recently featured on Kirstie Allsops 'Homemade Britain' on Channel 4 and since then has become phenomenally popular. It is one of our most popular classes.
You will learn to use merino wool and other fibres to create a charming scene using basic needle felting techniques . Alternatively, you can make three dimensional hearts, butterflies and flowers and in both cases you can add decorative elements including buttons, beads and stitch.
You will be provided with a 5 x 7 box frame to mount your piece (your finished work will measure approximately 4 x 3.5) to take your piece home.
Very basic stitching skills are required (if you can thread a needle and sew a standard running stitch you can easily do this workshop). Please note that needle felting tools are very sharp!
In addition, you will also take home a workshop pack which will give you all the information you need to complete another project in your own time including where to obtain felting materials.
All materials, equipment and instruction are included and tea, coffee and homemade cake will be served.
