Our contemporary craft and lifestyle workshops are fun, creative, project-based classes where in the space of a few hours you can:
- learn a new skill or refresh an old one
- bring your friends or meet new ones
- complete a chic, contemporary project led by an expert tutor
- take your fabulous creation home together with a workshop pack to remind you of all the tips and tricks you learned so you can put those new skills to good use in your own time.

MakeMe Craft (needle felting, jewellery making, furniture painting, knitting and crochet, decopatch, bath products and more)
MakeMe Bake (cupcake, cake and biscuit decorating and several chocolate workshops)
MakeMe Sew (Free motion embroidery,sew a cushion cover, handbag, snap frame clutches and more) or
MakeMe Style(fashion/style & makeup and hair).
New workshops are added to the Workshop Calendar regularly. We also run a selection of Kids Crafts at half term and summer holidays and Seasonal Workshops. Look out for our Spin a Yarn sessions too - free knitting, crochet and other wool craft sessions the second Wednesday of each month. Drop in with any of your knitting or crochet questions but be sure to reserve your free place so we can save you a seat!
We have a fantastic team of friendly tutors who are all experts in their field and will guide you through the steps to successfully complete your project – you’ll be surprised at the gorgeous items you can make!
A lovely selection of vintage and contemporary designer fabric to choose from, modern computerised Janome machines for our sewing workshops and a comprehensive selection of materials and equipment for all our other classes.
Tea, coffee and fresh homemade cakes are provided by the Hot House Cafe during the workshop and all equipment, materials and inspiration are included.
The workshops take place in the original tool room of the idyllic Medicine Garden in Cobham, Surrey – a lovingly restored Victorian walled kitchen garden located just 5 minutes from Cobham’s High Street and 25 minutes by train from London.
After the workshop why not stay and enjoy lunch or afternoon tea at the Hot House Café where customers of MakeMe are entitled to a 10% discount. The Medicine Garden is a lovely place to enjoy a day out in Surrey.

When the workshop timetable allows, we also offer Studio Time where you can book and borrow a machine and use our workspace for a couple of hours to work on your own projects in a friendly environment.
We also can arrange private parties, whether for a birthday party, hen party or corporate event or just an interesting alternative to the usual coffee mornings.
